The Hartford Insurance executive known for his dual career as poet and corporate officer held top posts at Hartford Accident and Indemnity and Hartford Livestock Insurance. He won the Pulitzer Prize this year and earlier Bollingen, National Book, and Poetry Society awards marked a decorated literary career.

Twelve Chinese students return to Communist China from US
