Adelphia customers see no change in Richlands service

RICHLANDS VA Adelphia customers will not notice service changes amid troubles facing the company’s founders. Adelphia serves about 15,000 people in Southwest Virginia including Tazewell and Buchanan counties, said Ralph Bowman, the Richlands Adelphia general manager. Lawmakers criticize White House action on a new corporate fraud law saying President Bush weakened it hours after signing. Bush held a ceremony to sign the law, then eight hours later the White House issued a statement explaining how it would interpret provisions.
