Rain blamed for single car I-77 accident
A Princeton couple were injured when their vehicle ran off Interstate 77 during a sudden cloudburst that dropped about a half inch of rain on the Bluefield Princeton area. Trooper J C Miller said the heavy rain reduced visibility and caused the crash at 1 50 p m. Willis Glover and Frances Glover were rushed to Princeton Community Hospital. Rescue personnel described cutting doors to reach the patients.

Bluefield City Board at a special meeting urged the state to reconsider Alternative 4 for the Easley Bridge replacement.
