Speed limit raised on I-77 Camp Creek stretch
West Virginia raises speed limit to 60 mph from milepost 20 to 26 on I-77 in Mercer County after a deadly two year period and in conjunction with flashing warning lights. Commissioner Jimmy Winston announced the change pending results of an engineering and traffic investigation and safety feature installations by Parkways. The study followed a fatal April 2017 crash when a tractor trailer crossed the median into a Honda Pilot.
