Bridge to Nowhere project in Bluefield set to start in May
Terra Goins of the West Virginia Division of Highways says the nearly 60 million Bridge to Nowhere project near Bluefield will begin next month. The 3.8 mile link from the bridge to Rt 460 and I-77 will improve access to the Bluewell Bramwell area and McDowell County, with a 2021 completion target.

Weather cannot halt 24th Children Memorial Flag Day in Princeton
In windy rain, Mercer County Courthouse hosted the 24th annual Children's Memorial Flag Day honoring abused and neglected children and the workers who protect them. Edwin Bennett of DHHR welcomed attendees noting a strong turnout and urging community action as West Virginia reported 10 child deaths tied to abuse or neglect last year and 42,505 DHHR cases in 2018.

40th Better Living Show opens in Brushfork with 75 vendors
