A two story fire caused heavy smoke and water damage to Cline Wholesale and a department store, with upstairs records mostly saved. Rexall Store and Ben Franklin Store suffered smoke and water damage, while a fire wall saved Rexall from spread. Injuries To Head Suffered In Wreck

Mrs. Dewey M. Bennett, 31, of Rt. 1 Alderson, was admitted to Bluefield Sanitarium with head injuries from a 5 p.m. wreck in Greenbrier County. Her husband, Dewey M. Bennett, was injured but released after treatment at Alderson hospital. She was treated and transferred to Bluefield.

Maryland Infant Hurt In Two-Vehicle Crash

A three month old from Maryland sustained non serious injuries in a two vehicle collision at Honaker and North Walker Street in Princeton at 4 44 p m Sunday. Passengers included Todd E Fearson and his mother Mrs Wilma Fearson of Joppa Md in a car driven by 16 year old Hattie Aurlene Crouse of Joppa. An ambulance driver 25 year old Clifford Dunn of Peterstown was involved. The child was treated at Memorial Hospital and released. No charges were filed.

Rectory Looted by Three Masked Bandits in Wis.

In Suamico Wisconsin three armed men raided the Rectory of St Benedict's on a Saturday night binding the pastor Rev Casimir Krakulius and housekeeper Cecelia Mella for about 12 hours. They looted precious stones valuables and firearms before fleeing. The pastor and housekeeper were unhurt. A fourth man waited outside in an older model car. An inventory will determine the loss.
