Shultz Optimistic On Lebanon Troop Withdrawal Plan

Cave note says eight cavers alive in Kentucky rescue

Two divers found a handwritten note stating eight amateur spelunkers trapped two days in a southeastern Kentucky cave were alive and in good condition. The eight shelter on a dry ledge after rising water sealed their exit. note signed by co leader Gary Bush placed 1,800 feet upstream from the rescue team. The group from Cincinnati planned to be removed once water levels drop.
