New York April 25 Mr and Mrs John W Harrison a near septuagenarian couple depart with a wagon load of New Testaments and potato peelers for a health voyage to San Francisco Their journey follows a previous 3500 mile trip to Atlanta and back financed by the peelers and small cash sums Harrison a non ordained preacher travels with his wife in a self rebuilt wagon and plans no collections.

Excitement rose at Wheeling over the Whitaker Glessner iron mill strike as James De Vaughan, a Pittsburg strike-breaker, fired at striker Charles McKinney and McKinney shot back in the crowd. De Vaughan was captured by officers at the mill entrance amid a crowd threat of lynching. Thomas Fox, former Amalgamated Lodge head, was assaulted later. Buck Tyson and Lester Biggs were arrested.
In East Radford on Monday morning Mrs J Christine Buchanan married Mr N Feran Clark of Bessemer Alabama after a year of correspondence. The ceremony was conducted by Rev Edwin R Carter at the bride's home in front of a few friends. The bride is about fifty. the groom is older. They will reside in Radford.
In Potteville Pennsylvania on April 25 eight year old Mary F Simpson told her mother to put away her new dress and gifts because she would die. Minutes later she went to her bedroom and died before a doctor could arrive.

In Richard Monongalia County four Italians and four Negroes were involved in a shooting affray. Moses Lewis a Negro worker for West Virginia Coal and Coke Company was shot and killed instantly. James Johnson another Negro worker for the same company was mortally wounded.

Four men are dead and two wounded after a mass meeting in Hempstead Texas ended in violence as factions clashed over enforcing the local option law. Congressman J M Pickney was among the dead. A special train carried surgeons to Hempstead to aid the wounded.
In East Waterford Norway April 25 Ed ward Hilton sixty shot and killed George Youngs forty five and stabbed his wife repeatedly then shot himself Mrs Hilton severely injured but believed to recover Authorities say jealousy sparked the killings and suicide in a grim domestic case
Three girls aged 5 8 and 12 traveled alone from Budapest to Wilkes-Barre arriving with tags for Olyphant. To make railway connections they stayed in the depot overnight and boarded an early train to join their father, a Hungarian mine worker, who had saved to send for them.
Richmond Virginia April 25 Col. G A Brace of Boston has returned to the Confederate Museum a bust of Stonewall Jackson taken from the Davis mansion by a Federal soldier forty years ago. Rev Dr J P Smith delivered the bust to museum officials.
