After 30 years Lambert disappearance remains under investigation

Mercer County investigators and Brenda Gail Lambert’s family press for clues in the 1992 vanishing from her Bluewell home. The 22 year old mother of two disappeared on her son’s first birthday night with few belongings. five and a half months later friend Mark Anthony Cook vanished in the early hours of January 14, 1993.

Mooney to retire as publisher at Bluefield papers

Randy Mooney of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and The Register-Herald in Beckley will retire May 30 after a 42 year newspaper career. His successor is Tricia Johnston of Goshen Indiana News, who will also publish West Virginia Times West Virginia in Fairmont. CNHI owns the papers.
