The Princeton Democratic party will hold a convention May 6 at 8 p.m. in the Princeton high school auditorium to nominate candidates for the municipal election on June 7. Sheriff Clarence C. Elmore, city executive committee chairman, called the meeting. Republicans are set for the same night and time at the courthouse to nominate mayor and council seats.

Damage Claim Is Settled in Circuit Court
Settlement of the claim of Walter D Mills guardian of Charles Jackson Mills an infant against E K Ketron and Mrs Ketron of Princeton for injuries from a November crash was approved by Judge D M Easley. The Ketrons denied liability but agreed to pay 2009 25 dollars on compromise as they were en route to Bluefield when a bicycle swerved into their car.

Possession Of Cow Involved In Detinue Action Heard Here
A detinue suit over a cow ended with Magistrate C C McGuire awarding the animal to Mrs Laura Farmer of Black Oak Mountain after a two hour hearing with about thirty witnesses. Hodges and Mrs Hodges contested, claiming the cow, while Hodges faced a $150 feed and board bill. The Hodges may appeal to the circuit court.
