Washington reports that the General Federation of Women’s Clubs will hold its spring council in Tulsa Oklahoma from April 26 to 30. Music Clubs Meet In Indianapolis 1935 Biennial Convention
Nearly a thousand young musicians from kindergarten to college will participate in the National Federation of Music Clubs biennial convention in Indianapolis from April 29. The event features the Singing Redmen of Bacone College and a diverse lineup including Parker High School Band from Greenville, Apollo Boys' Choir from Birmingham, a Traverse City violin ensemble, a Deytona High School glee club, and a junior orchestra from Albuquerque. The girls’ work committee of the YWCA meets at 7:30 PM, 300 guests attend a tea at Bluefield College, and a Beaver High School skating party funds delegates to the Girl Reserves conference. Volunteers are sought for camp counselor roles with the YMCA Youth Camp Association.
