Champion Bridge Tournament Opens Monday in Elks Club
Southern West Virginia invites all bridge players to enter the third annual open pair championship, starting Monday evening April 26 at the Elks' club rooms. Aged Wayfarer Dies in Borrowed Room in Charleston
S A Clevenger seventy of Grafton died early today in a room lent by J A Gibson after seeking aid. Gibson told Kanawha county coroner Dr James E Roberts that Clevenger came to his Siggonville road home last night feeling ill and died of a heart ailment and acute indigestion while en route to Taylor county.

Labor troubles blamed for wide bombing wave in Chicago
Chicago April 21 police reported the most widespread bombing spree in years blamed on labor troubles. Within four hours thirty minutes explosives damaged three homes a creamery and a golf club along a thirty mile stretch in the city and north shore. Sergeant Andrew Aitken said two blasts stemmed from union painters trouble. A score of persons were imperiled but none injured.
