Two West Virginians Die In Plane Crash Near Yorkville
MARTINS FERRY, CO. April 20 Two persons were killed and a third injured when a small BT-13 trainer plane crashed and exploded on a wooded hillside near Yorkville Airport. Pilot Raymond Mays 31 of McMechen and Virginia Foster of Wheeling died. Alfred Cosentino 33 of Steubenville survived with a broken leg two broken ribs and severe shock. He was listed in fair condition. Police said the plane, flying from Ohio County Airport Wheeling, exploded shortly after ground impact while attempting to land at Yorkville Airport. Bodies burned beyond recognition.
