A 7,200 volt Appalachian Electric Power Co. transmission line snapped and fell across the feed into 321 Rover St. causing a short in a floor lamp and a fire in the living room. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at 1:40 p.m. with roughly $100 in damage to electric fixtures curtains and furniture. Cause of the wire break could not be determined.
