Wierton West Virginia April 13 a woman 33 Jeanne Zincani was shot to death in a friend's home after returning with her husband Anthony 27 who was wounded by a constable during a flight from the scene. The couple had quarrelled and police say the husband claimed he found his wife with another man.

Debating teams from Fin castle and Graham high schools split honors in a Saturday debate on appointing Virginia judges. Graham’s Wallace Averill and Cletus Broyles won affirmatives, Fin castle’s John Armstrong and Alice Smith won for the negative. Judges from Betver faculty scored the contest, and both schools’ teams were chaperoned by local faculty.
