Sam Wolford aims to continue Jim Spencer’s work as Bluefield Economic Development Authority executive director designate, starting May 5. He brings 30 plus years in economic and workforce development, and is already attending city board meetings to prepare for the role. Wolford grew up in Springville, studied at Bluefield State College, and previously worked with GENEDGE Alliance and in Tazewell County.
