Bluefield VA to Break Ground for Route 460 Bypass
Ground breaking for the Route 460 Bluefield Bypass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Mayor Cecile Barrett says the 9.26 million project will ease downtown traffic and spur economic development as VDOT and local leaders anticipate completion in summer 1995. The project adds two lanes along 4.2 miles from Valley Dale Street to the Route 19 460 interchange, with attendees including Sen. Jack Reasor Rep. Barnes Kidd and VDOT officials.
