Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were condemned to be electrocuted in the week of July 10 after seven years of delay. Authorities seek Gillie Altizer, 17, and Roy Christian. Altizer reportedly fled country. McCoy’s condition remains critical at Mattie Williams hospital Richlands Virginia.
In Bluefield Virginia, Mrs. George Belcher prayed aloud for her son Lewis Belcher 21 as he and Paul Graybear received 90 days on the road and 250 fine each plus costs totaling 600 in a police court. The scene drew tears and sympathy from onlookers.

Wenatchee WashingtonApril 9 three workmen were buried under tons of clay today at a dam for a water company near Chelan. About 150 workers dug frantically as the slide trapped three men while others fled to safety. Early reports claimed thirty men buried but later checks showed only three missing.

Cape May New Jersey April 9 Coast guard cutters based at No 9 continued the search today for an airplane reported to have fallen 665 miles off the city but no wreckage was located. Coast guardsmen suspect the captain of the Osceola mistook a gull diving into the sun for an airplane and note a real oil sheen would indicate a fall.
