Pocahontas Coke Co Dissolution Move Underway
The Pocahontas Coke Co, a West Virginia corporation formed about three years ago as a selling agency for Pocahontas field operations, is being wound up after producing firms breached contracts and formed independent agencies. Since 1908 the Virginia company, with 150,900 capital, led by Charles S Thorne as president and Thomas F Farrell as general manager, has managed most local coke production and will complete existing contracts.

Death of J. L. Lynch in Union at 84
J L Lynch died after a paralytic stroke in Union on Wednesday night aged 84. Born in Rockbridge county Virginia he lived in Union for about seventy years and served in the Confederate army. He is survived by six children and will be buried today at 2 o clock after funeral services attended by family traveling from nearby cities.
