Thomason Dies Suddenly In Mercer County Courthouse
R G Thomason Democratic member of the Mercer county court and longtime farmer and lumberman died of a heart attack in the county commission ers' private offices at Princeton about 10 15 yesterday morning. He had walked from the county clerk's office to the commissioners' office and became ill after five minutes. Burial is planned at Rest cemetery with services at Sandlick Methodist church on Wednesday. Surviving are his wife Ada Lee Hall and four children plus four sisters and three brothers. He would have been 55 May 7.

Pickets appeared at Page Coal and Coke mines after the company refused a retroactive pay agreement for union access. A union spokesman said some operators signed individual pacts to allow repair work during the shutdown if pay increases were retroactive to April 1. Conditions Of Two Local Women Hurt In Car Mishap
