Finding of body may develop murder story in Norfolk
Hamilton Ohio April 6 Finding of the body of Yeo B McAllister of Woodbury New Jersey in a car of wood pulp bales today may develop a story of murder at Norfolk Virginia. The pulp was shipped from Norfolk to Champion Coated Paper Company in this city March 16. The body was found by a truckman head down between bales near the end of the car. McAllister wore a brown suit and brown overcoat. In his pockets were an identification card with his photo and letters addressed to Frank R Powell Devereaux School for Boys Berwyn Pa but returned not called for.

Pete Shepherd an illiterate Logan county man faces execution at the West Virginia State Penitentiary pending any stay or clemency from Governor Morgan. Officials prepared the gallows and tested the apparatus for the scheduled Monday 5 30 p m hanging for the murder of a fellow Logan county man six months prior. Shepherd, forty, has limited visitors and shows acceptance of his fate with no strong clemency efforts from relatives or officials yet. The last execution at the prison occurred eight months ago.

Engine Blows Up Killing Two Men in Duryea Incident
A Lehigh Valley pusher engine exploded at 3 15 p m on the Duryea cut-off seven miles south of Scranton Pennsylvania. Engineer Samuel Martin of Pittsburgh and fireman James Boyden of West Pittston were killed and badly mangled. The locomotive was wrecked beyond salvage. No cause was determined by railroad officials.
