Several hundred striking silk mill workers faced about forty deputy sheriffs and policemen outside the Garside mill in Passaic New Jersey. Bricks and stones flew as deputies used clubs and revolvers. shots were fired over heads and the crowd dispersed. Six arrests were reported, with a hundred or more women in the onlookers.
