Montcalm Bridge set for rehabilitation start Monday
West Virginia Division of Highways will begin bridge rehabilitation and deck replacement on the Montcalm Bridge on Rt 11 just north of Rt 71. District 10 Engineer Joe Pack says the bridge will stay open with alternating lanes up to 11 feet wide. He also updates pothole patching progress, noting slow progress due to cold weather.

Capitol Police officer killed after car rams barricade
A driver rammed a car into two Capitol Police officers near a barricade outside the U.S. Capitol, then advanced with a knife before being shot and dying at a hospital. The slain officer was William Evans, an 18 year veteran. Authorities said the incident followed the department's post Jan 6 trauma as they investigate motive and contact with the knife.
