Notice from Brapiey House complete house furnishers advertises a large stock of wall paper just received from manufacturers. It claims comprehensive range from cheap to finest quality and promises savings of at least 44 percent. Urges customers to visit before paying agents.
A pleasant evening marked Miss Lulu Bilyeu’s 12th birthday at her home on Monday. Schoolmates joined in games and refreshments at nine then presented Lulu with beautiful gifts. Guests departed by ten, claiming an excellent time. Quickee Steel ranges are moving ahead of competition, for sale only by W Henshie.
Under the new revenue law the time allowed collector is shortened. Call Gleeson’s drugstore Thursday March 9 for eye glasses and relief of eyeache headache and nervousness. Contact Jos Miller's shoe store and R. D. Augustine the Decatur optician for details.

Notice states that after February 8th the collector will be in Blue Mound at J A Gleeson's drug store each Wednesday to collect all taxes due for 1898. Signed by RheinLer, Tax Collector.
Thursday evening February 23 Mr and Mrs H J Yarnell hosted an entertainment for Liberty school pupils five and a half miles northwest of Blue Mound. The program included student exercises and talks on parent teacher cooperation by Mr Yarnell and Mr Harris. Refreshments followed in the dining room. Attendees included George Drennan Landaline Young K Walker William Long John Burchell William Harris I Sutman Aggie Long Carrie Clark Mrs McMillin and the school. Wm Hise of Macon reported the electric light plant contract at Moneaqua for a thirty by eighteen foot building.
Roy Ernest Fisher, twenty six days old, died last Sunday of croup near town. Funeral at home Monday conducted by Rev. W L Bankson. Mrs. Wm. Ware died Tuesday at noon of pneumonia and pleurisy after a week illness. she was 61. Funeral at 11 today at the Christian church led by Elder S M Parks. Burial at Waltz cemetery. Obituary to appear next week.

A Morrisonville liveryman reports two men hired John Haywood’s rig on a Saturday to go to the country, never returned, and were later found to have left it at a Litchfield barn after an unsuccessful sale attempt. They appear to have earlier driven J B Ware’s horse and buggy to Taylorville and left it at a livery, then may have walked or rode away. The Anti Horse Thief Protective Association has taken up the case to pursue them.
Julius Sckowski, aged forty six, celebrated his birthday last Thursday at his home southwest of town with about twenty five Blue Mound friends. Games music and a splendid supper enlivened the evening and good cheer prevailed. Uncle Eben joked that Dad was too many folks to share.
