County Commissioner Frank Ragen president of the Ragen Athletic Club visited Blue Island to clear the club of rowdyism claims tied to Memorial Day events. Accompanied by Liberty Club leaders, he said the trouble came from a few men in an electric car, not club members, and that police and officials accepted the explanation. He warned against misreading the club’s July 4 picnic plans at Calumet Grove.
