Aldermen Wolff and Myers helped seize a 22 year old boilermaker Oscar Erickson in Blue Island after he tried cashing a $24 check at Mrs Hill 6 Western avenue. He confessed the scheme involving several checks and named a friend Derx. detectives later found the tale unlikely and Erickson signed a full confession exonerating Derx. He was bound over to the grand jury under $2000 bond.
