Memorial services for Raymond Eames, Blue Island’s first local casualty in World War I, were held at the high school auditorium last Sunday. Man Dies After Nickle Plate Yard Accident
Thomas Siems a switchman at 476 Vermont Street lost both legs in a Nickle Plate line accident at Englewood late Friday night and died Saturday at Englewood Hospital. He was buried Tuesday at Mt. Greenwood. He leaves a wife at the same address and two children from a former marriage staying with relatives in Missouri.

Electrocution Fatality At Riverdale Factory Pool
