Barnstorming Cook & Whitby show draws Bloomington crowd
Peter Ballenger, a Bedford resident, lost thirty dollars to a shell game at Cook & Whitby’s circus in Bloomington after seeing the elephants and horses praised by Willis Cobb press agent. The event drew large afternoon and evening crowds despite a poor year for shows due to the World’s Fair.
