Two Monon Railroad employees, Samuel Hundlman and William Glenn, were discharged for violating rules by mistreating passenger Father Bogemann during a Bedford to Bloomington run. An investigation found Glenn placed a derisive note on Bogemann’s valise and Hundlman assisted. the men were removed after the Train Master cited a rule requiring courteous treatment of passengers.
