Members of the J E Church will vote on the amendment at College Avenue M E church parlor 1 from 1 to 4 PM. Women gain ballot access and equal standing with men as delegates to the conference. The issue has long divided the group and follows action from the last general conference.
Trustee Massy told a World reporter a letter claims a warrant on Bloomington township dated Sept 10 1904 for 8000 at six percent and asks buyers to pay a low price. Massy says no warrants exist in his term and warns forgery could lead to strong arm law.
C C Whisenand, a Bloomington farmer, sues the American Express Co for ten thousand dollars alleging negligence after a wagon collision upended his buggy. He was briefly thought uninjured but later affected with paralysis on the right side and possible brain clot. Dr Lowder attended him.
Postmaster East installed new keyless boxes at Bloomington main office, prompting government orders for boxes. Of 706 boxes, 400 rent at 35 cents quarterly and the rest at 50 cents. government plans extend to seven hundred six-box rentals for five years. Citizens quoted praise for convenience, with a few critics noting rent and persistence of old boxes as issues.

In Bloomington yesterday a seven year old dog named Tramp received a grand birthday party from friends including Norman, Baillott, Holland and Morgan. About thirty canine society members gathered at courthouse park, with Shans Banta and Ben Duncan taking Tramp to Hinkle's shop for entertainment. The reception featured costumes, refreshments, and playful social games, ending with a lively after party lauding the day as the doggonedest event ever in Bloomington.
The ceremony at the U P church joined Harry E Coblentz and Miss Ida Louden in marriage with Sigma Chi and Kappa Kappa Gamma affiliations noted. They left for Franklin after a reception amid friends and well wishes. The same day the Indiana Supreme Court ruled the county recorder may charge only one dollar for mortgage filings and voided certain county treasurer fees under the salary law.
A hunting party returning from Arkansas held a grand feast for twenty six friends at C. R. Worrall’s home. Erwing Batterton presided as guests enjoyed venison bear meat and wild turkey with sauces, celery, fruits, and cake.
Sunday night Dr. E Hale narrowly escaped death at Joseph Reed's home when Reed awoke to moaning and found Hale unconscious with his head over a bed rail. After light and swift restoratives Hale revived and recovered fully. without the timely awakening the outcome would have likely been fatal.
Edwin Carr asserts the removal issue lacks life and financial backing. Senators noted the matter moved past with little consideration. Students report no widespread movement, with many opposing removal if active action arose.
Henry and Daniel Shieldg of Salt Creek township pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing counterfeit money. Judge Baker gave Henry sixty days in jail and a five dollar fine while Daniel received five months in jail. The sentences reflect the defendants' prior good character as first offenders. no details on the coin manufacturers were released.
James Clay of Ellettaville was indicted by a Federal grand jury for sending obscene matter through the mails about five months ago. He is charged with writing obscene anonymous letters to a neighborhood lady. investigations led to his arrest and his case will be called for trial in a few days.
