Destructive Fires Ravage Two Fine City Homes

A Sunday afternoon fire destroyed the Lyne residence on East Fourth Street and spread to the Rose home, with a third structure and a stable also damaged. Insurance coverage totaled about seven thousand dollars. losses exceeded insurance. The blaze drew a thousand onlookers, and investigators suspect matches by a group of boys started the fire. Firefighters faced a burst hose and rapid spread before aid arrived.

Bloomington Legal Docket Leads With Court Actions

Law School Notes and Moot Court Details

Mr Kelly was absent from class most of last week. Ryan has been at Lebanon as counsel in a damage suit. Prof Rogers asks senior law students to attend moot court every Friday afternoon. Ventilation upgrades planned for law recitation rooms with pivoting windows. Bishop vs Peerless Stone Co. trial on a note set for moot court Friday evening with Taylor and Fortune prosecuting and Davis and Gollo defending. Judge Banta’s lectures are highly engaging, blending wit and real-world insight. The law department lacks numbers but gains in quality.
