Decoration Day Exercises In Daly Commemorate Valor

The community gathered at College Ave Methodist Church for Decoration Day services led by Gen Merton C Hunter. Memorial addresses by Prof Sampson and Rev Parret, with music from Mechanics' Band and the Women’s Relief Corps. A large crowd followed a flower procession to the cemetery, honoring fallen heroes and the Civil War era.

Luccock Accepts Washington Call From Walnut Street Parish

Rev G N Luccock announced Sunday that he will leave Bloomington to lead Metropolitan Church in Washington City. The Walnut Street church retires his three years with 50 percent membership growth and strong pastoral vitality. Present plans call for a June or September departure after a congregational vote next Saturday.

Mrs John Whisnand Dies After Illness at Seventy Five

Mrs John Whisnand died Friday morning after an illness of three weeks. She was a member of the Christian church and was seventy five years old. The family extends sympathy to the husband and daughter. Miss Jane Staley, a well known newspaper correspondent of Stinesville, was the guest of Mr and Mrs Thornton of this city. Last week.
