High School Commencement and Local Notices

The city’s largest graduating class will present a program in the Old College Chapel with an admission fee to cover decorating expenses. Dr. T. H. Willis will address the class at a Methodist church service. The Knights of Pythias prepare Memorial and Decoration Day exercises at Kirkwood Avenue church, then proceed to the cemetery. Program of joint meeting at Whatsell's society

A joint meeting of the dependent and Century Literary societies is set for Thursday evening June 7 at Whatsell's. Music includes oration by Wel Stout, declamations by Remont Miller and Ian McCaughan, and a debate on whether the state should furnish labor to the unemployed at full wages. Participants include Blackford, J. C. Crampton and W. V. Payne.
