The next term of court opens April 23. John A Faulk granted divorce from Amanda Folk with custody of minor children. Louisa J Foster awarded judgment on note against Cassius M Justus and Mahala Pegg for 148.25. Haverie Peoples jurors failed to appear and were discharged in property case. Anna Schonfield of Vincennes awarded 60 dollars after beating by Amelia Fiamies of Sulll. Jasper N Long trustee Center township ordered destitute children Mamie and two year old Bingham and 5 year old to be sent to female reformatory until age 18. Hugh Bandeford found guilty of carrying concealed weapons with 25 dollars fine and costs. others jailed.
On Saturday March 17 the term closed at District No 8 in Center township. About noon a procession of about one hundred attended. a long noon program followed with entertainment and a speech. A large feast was served and a spelling match drew crowds into the night. participants wished for many more such pleasant days.
The W F M S of the M E church will hold its quarterly missionary tea at Mrs H W Letsinger's residence next Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Mrs M A Garismone, Secretary.

James Neill and Thomas Hudson of Hendricksville shopped in town Monday. Rosalie Calland and wife of Switz City visited their parents. Schools in the township closed for the week. Robert Gaston and Homer Hart of Newark visited Friday. A literary program followed morning lessons. Teacher Mr. Davis praised for strong winter work with a large crowd present. Joe Shryer of Bloomfield, candidate for treasurer, greeted the youth Thursday night. James Davis and J A Baldridge attended Greene County chapel services. Nim Burch and wife visited his mother-in-law Mrs Arthur Sunday. Walter Alexander and Hugh Bullock went to Bloomington Monday for goods. Ed Crane moved to Sheriff McLaughlin’s farm Monday.
Clara Wright of Taylor township died March 17 at age twenty two after a year plus of consumption. She leaves a husband an infant child her parents Charley and Lizzie Hasler six sisters and four brothers and other relatives. Burial was in the Dutch cemetery and neighbors extend sympathy to the family. Koleen March 20.
