Miss Mary Lamb and Miss Josephine Adams traveled to Indianapolis to attend the wedding of Miss Margaret Crockett to Dr Quin ter Olen Gilbert at the Central Christian church Wednesday evening.
The Rev J D Smith and son Kenneth left Wednesday for Springfield Ohio to visit relatives and friends. From Springfield they will go to New Straitsville Ohio his former charge where he will be present at the dedication of the new church. Rev Smith helped raise most of the funds for the church before leaving.
A recruiting week message from William Herschell of the Indianapolis News features a patriotic poem The Kid Has Gone to the Colors. It describes a young boy joining the army, inspired by Old Glory, and echoes family pride and ancestral duty.

A baby died after a short illness with funeral notices and messages of gratitude. The parents Mr and Mrs Elvin Rhodes and Miss Ruth Rhodes extend thanks to friends and neighbors for their help during the illness and death of their beloved son William Joseph.
Judge Thornton of Indianapolis ruled the constitutional convention voting provision unconstitutional and barred county clerks from registering women. The decision was appealed and set for Supreme Court July 11. After talks with Indiana Attorney General Eli Stansbury, the injunction on registration was lifted and boards were told to proceed with women's registration.
Dr. E N Mullinix died at his home in Linton from injuries suffered in a fall on the ice last February. The funeral was held Tuesday with interment in Linton? (text uncertain)

An affidavit against Tom Terrell of Bloomfield charged him with vagrancy. The case, heard by the Judge, showed Terrell cannot perform manual labor and he was found not guilty.

Paul Ambs a miner and Virgie Reece of Jasonville were licensed. Russell Roy and Collette Cody of Linton were licensed and married by Rev Merritt Owen. Osia Floyd Sturgeon a Terre Haute railroader and Miss Irene Austin Love of Linton were licensed and wed in Linton by Rev W Chadwick.
