Eleven Die as Wreck Kills All in Smoking Car
A Chesapeake and Ohio train derailed two miles west of White Sulphur Springs Virginia. Eleven people perished and about twenty five were injured. all victims were in the smoking car. The wreck occurred on a 190 foot high fill with a broken axle blamed. The conductor survived with a broken leg and serious injuries. Medical assistance arrived from White Sulphur Springs and nearby towns as crews worked through the night.

She breathed only a few times before death.
