Lydia C Padgett wife of George D Padgett born October 23 1832 died February 18 1888 aged 55 years 3 months 20 days Born in Columbiana county Ohio the family moved to this state in 1838 She joined the Presbyterian church at Pleasantville and aided ministers Her eight children survive two predeceased Her health was seldom good and a congestive chill followed a five day illness She died surrounded by her children and friends The article notes her Christian character and home as a retreat for ministers.
