Worthington gas and farm goods listed along with Premium List requests for the Big Bloomfield Fair. Local updates include election booths contract, medical notices, a horse riding prize, and a riot trial verdict.
At about ten o clock Saturday night flames swept the east stalls at the Linton Fair Grounds destroying about fifty stalls. Will Watson rescued Fanny the pacing mare owned by George Fuller and Helen Weil owned by Frans Sare though Judge J Jessie Simmons Juda Fisher and Ada P perished. Horses valued at 2500 with Judge T a 23 month old colt showing 244 gait purchased at Lebanon. Fire origin believed incendiary or careless smoking. Loss to fair about 500. repairs begun for September 1st fair and many stalls already taken.
The Gage Tool Co says Bloomfield dealers do not stock the Gage Self-Setting Plane made in Vineland New Jersey. They will ship planes on a 30 days trial per their circular. Farmers mechanics and other householders are urged to write the company for circulars.
George Shipman of the east side was found late Saturday night in front of John Cliff's house near Park Street, unconscious with injuries from a Studebaker cart wheel. The horse stood nearby, with no clear account of how far it ran or possible whiskey involvement. Shipman regained consciousness Sunday.

Elmer R. Templeton and Irez Harris were married Tuesday evening at the Harris residence with Rev. Cox officiating. Only near relatives attended. Templeton, a Bloomfield Flour Mill book-keeper, and Harris, a popular young woman, begin life together to the best wishes of all.
The Greene County Veteran Association plans its annual reunion at the Linton fair grounds on Soldier's Day. As we went to press last week the commissioners found a majority of freeholders support the petition. They then heard evidence on practical utility and we go to press still awaiting a ruling. If the commissioners affirm utility, the road is guaranteed unless a higher court rules otherwise.

Children Cry for Pitchers Castoria. Excursion to Indianapolis on Sept. 1 via Pennsylvania Lines offered from Switz City at 2.85 round trip. Return valid to Sept. 2. Memorial day in the state capital with over fifty trades unions and a score of bands and eminent speakers.
Excursion tickets at one fare for the round trip will be sold from points on the Pennsylvania lines in Indiana on August 27 and 28, with return validity until August 19, due to the Democratic State Convention. Boatner is nominated for Congress by the Fifth Louisiana district Democrats.
Indianapolis reports from census agents indicate Indiana’s manufacturing sector has shown remarkable growth over the last decade. In 1860 the state had few large plants, but by 1860s end one Indianapolis shop produced kraut cutters, money drawers, rolling pins and more, while Studebakers at South Bend now employ more workers than all Indiana factories in 1860.

In LoGaNspPort Indiana Aug 20 witch craft treatment is alleged to have caused the death of the child of Mr and Mrs William Davis of Schultz town suburb. The matter is under investigation.
Rich vein of silver said discovered on John R. Canine’s farm near Waveland with outcrop along Sugar creek demonstrating a valuable ore source in Crawfordsville district reported August 20.
The Southern Indiana Fish Association in Indianapolis on August 19 offered a $25 reward for the conviction of anyone violating fish protection laws.
A buggy carrying Leary Troyers and his wife was struck by an engine early this morning at the Bristol cut in Goshen Ind. The track area is so deep a train cannot be seen from either direction, and both occupants were killed.
