Rain finally comes after a long search

FENGE long looked for rain has come at last. We had quite a nice rain Sunday evening. Uncle Davie Drake has graded his sidewalk and is going to put gravel up. Davie believes in having things nice. There was quite a number of K. B. P. boys at lodge Saturday night. The lodge seems prospering. One new member Saturday night. A number of the boys of Newark lodge 1 OQ QO.FL attended dedication services at Freeda, and all report a good time. Grand Master Leedy was present and spoke for them. Also Judge Cunning of Martinsville gave a short address. Enoch Bruner's wife was buried here Saturday. There was quite a large turnout of friends and relatives. Shell Raper's wife was buried near MeVille Saturday. Sam les of Wisconsin is here visiting friends and relatives at this writing. Jack Martindale is improving slowly. Miss Allie Pickard, who has been visiting here for a few days, has returned to Indianapolis. KE. Pryor and Frank Groves went west last Friday evening. I wonder where they went. The young folks had a singing at Mrs. Watkins' last Friday night. All report a good time. Riv Colee preached here for the Baptist brethren Saturday night and Sunday. Calvert of Worthington was here Saturday buying poultry. The Grand Army boys mustered in a new recruit Saturday, Capt. Neil being the candidate.
