August pay day at Pocatello and local sales at cost. Bannock County votes on bonding 302 for and 59 against. Fire, floods, land deals, new canalfunding, prison and asylum notes. Notables include Supt Locke’s Yellowstone trip and Dietrichs in Blackfoot, plus river ferry, livestock, and crop optimism.
Heavy frosts across the past week damaged potatoes and beans as crops were already advanced. Ice formed quarter inch thick at Genesee while other sections report minimal direct harm to overall yields. A. B. Clarke company notes strong demand for first class horses weighing 1200 pounds or more, with high prices for good drivers.

George Worden of Blackfoot Idaho announces purchase of a new ten horse power J I Case threshing machine and solicits public patronage. He will attend to all orders from Blackfoot and surrounding area. August 15.
The partnership between James Mathe ss and Augustus H Simmons in the restaurant business is dissolved by mutual consent. Augustus H Simmons will continue the business and pay all bills and collect all receivables. Done at Blackfoot Idaho on August 20, 1895. James Mathews Avertetus H. Simmons
