Burdened Post Office Burglary In Fargo Night

Robbera enter the Fargo postoffice binding and gagging clerk Harry Milton. They burn his feet with red hot coals and force him to reveal vault combinations. Milton frees himself, fires at the burglars, who escape with later reports of $125 in currency and $1501 on a desk. Postmaster Judd reports to Washington.

Bold bad Boys of Youths Robbery Ring in Sauk Centre

In six months three stores and saloons were broken into and robbed, with many thefts in Sauk Centre. An organized gang is suspected with two Molitor boys arrested after searches recovered much stolen property. Two other men, Jones, were also implicated and tried, await grand jury, out on bail. Robberies included money, clothes, jewels, tobacco, gum, liquor, and even a neighbor’s front door. Some loot recovered from hay stacks and grain fields.

Spalding On War Path Forces Reserved Players Contracts

Spalding on the war path states he will compel reserved players to sign contracts by Saturday. Writs of injunction will be served to prevent signing with any other team. Spalding, with a half dozen attorneys, vows to fight the players' brotherhood to the end after notices were mailed this morning. The section of last year's agreement grants the president the right to reassign for cause.
