Coal from the new mine heats locomotives efficiently, with less fuel than Ecklund coal, and demand exceeds output. A new bridge and works raise daily output to about thirty tons, while Ecklund supplies forty tons weekly due to poor roads. Also noted are flax and wheat yields from local farmers and the start of excavations for a basement at Hozt Wilton, awarded to Glineburg and Levin of Bismarck.
