George H Abbott alias Frank L Almy was hanged for the Hanover New Hampshire July 17 1891 murder of Christie Warden. The report recalls his criminal history and escape then describes Christie Wardens assault and Almys pursuit and capture. Curtis resigns as director of American republics bureau

William E. Curtis, director of the Bureau of American Republics, has returned to Washington from Chicago and tendered his resignation to the president following a request made by the president on Saturday.
