Washington March 22 The president announced his appointments to the Interstate Commerce Commission naming Thomas M Cooley Michigan for six years William J Morrison Illinois for five Augustus Schoonmaker New York for four Aldus Walker Vermont for three Walter L Bragg Alabama for two years Cooley may not be chairman as the commission will elect its own leader Walker is a Rutland Vermont lawyer and former union army colonel Schoonmaker a Kingston New York lawyer was linked to Governor Tilden Morrison’s public service is noted Bragg a Reading Democrat in Alabama since 1881 and a former railroad regulator held positions on state rail commissions. Colonel Lamont defended the president health noting the chief's weight and exercise. He said the president is in good condition and not in danger.
