Newfoundland dog mauls butcher in deadly kitchen yard attack

CHRIS HOELCHER, a St Louis butcher, was critically injured in a ten minute fight with his two year old Newfoundland in the back yard of a butcher shop. The dog, weighing 101 pounds, mauled him severely until Mrs Hoelcher killed the animal with a butcher knife. Hoelcher's chest neck and arms were badly lacerated and his condition described as critical.
