Explosion at Upmeier home injures family in July 30 incident

A rocket explosion at Henry Upmeier’s house 21 Oranje Street fatally wounds Mrs Upmeier and injures Ida age 2 and Charles age 6, with Phillip Hill 10 slightly hurt. A 81- pound rocket caused the blast after a boy opened it with a hatchet during a fireworks display.
