April 5 Greenville Mississippi reports a levee breach at Cutie Point near the Connolly plantation in Oliver County twenty miles from Greenville. Water rose to 1,700 to 1,800 feet, inundating Washington Avenue and many homes. Residents evacuate as floodwaters advance, bridges at risk, and land for temporary shelter becomes scarce.
A partial transcript notes Fred Medburnt, author of the First National book, allegedly bid with eight thousand dollars of the bank’s funds. E A Moore of Fargo is listed as president in the report, with cryptic references to Canada and a pact dated April 7.

A cyclone swept Norwalk Ohio near Sprague and French umbrella factory, crushing a building and killing a 19 year old worker. Dozens injured including Nellie Harding and Mrs Brugh as winds toppled homes, roofs, and sheds. Later, another storm hit the city with hail and debris flying.
