Indian Artist White Crow Returns from Los Angeles Training
Miles S Horn a 55 year old Cheyenne Indian artist known as White Crow recently completed a two year course at the Owls Art Institute in Los Angeles under the GI training plan. He earned a diploma for a four year painting program in two years and studied with Ralph Holmes and Norman Rockwell. Horn plans to seek work in Billings after living in Lame Deer with his family. He is a World War II veteran and carries a 40 percent disability from a land mine shock. His daughter Willena White served in the WAVES and son Denver in the Marines. youngest son Harold, 17, has enlisted in the Army. Horn is nephew of Red Star, the scout at Little Bighorn.
