Memorial for Montana 163rd Infantry proposed in Helena
The 163rd Infantry Association plans a memorial for fallen members of Montana's National Guard unit from World Wars I and II. Co chairs Glenn Stockdale and K Cheadle announced at the Helena reunion that the stone memorial may join the Pioneer Veterans Memorial building. The Montana Legislature funded the Veterans Memorial project, and the association numbering nearly 500 seeks a bronze plate or integrated stone marker to honor the regiment's war service.
