A dun yearling quarter horse stallion bred at Spike Van Cleve’s Sweet Grass ranch near Melville won reserve championship at the Wyoming state fair in Douglas. The colt named Dan Waggoner, sired by Dusty Waggoner and out of a half Quarter, half Thoroughbred dam, took first in the yearling quarter horse show at Riverton before earning reserve overall in the state fair against older horses.

Members of the Big Timber Ropin n Ridin club excelled at Lewistown’s fall roundup with 13 horses and a large turnout from Big Timber Hardin Billings Roundup Havre Lewistown and Livingston. Burton Robinson won calf roping and was second in saddle and go. George Morey placed third in calf roping and, with Robinson and Don Henderson, third in relay. George Erickson was second in musical chair. Mavis Murray won the kids race and sister Vonnie tied for second and third in the ladies quarter mile. Clarence Erickson served as judge.

Park City Man Fined for Drunk Driving
Joe Johnson pleaded guilty to drunken driving and was fined 50 dollars by Justice J. D. Holly after being picked up by Under Sheriff Harold Hoem on highway 10 below Grey Cliff.
